Going on vacation helps you to break up your daily work-world routine to enjoy any number of fun activities. Of course, when this happens, stress is relieved also, which makes for a much healthier you!

Some of the other healthy benefits of owning a timeshare include the activities sponsored by the resorts. Many resorts sponsor sports activities like volleyball and basketball tournaments, if they have the amenities on site. Also, most resorts have a fitness center with exercise equipment Several resorts offer daily exercise programs, swimming and spa treatments. Wyndham Resorts offer several “Get Out and Play ” activities. Most timeshares have nice playground equipment for the kids.

Many timeshares that we have been to list nature hikes (to include a knowledgeable guide) in their activity brochures. The Rushes, a timeshare in Door County, WI, has kayaks, windsurfers, paddleboats and bicycles for their guests to use. Some Hilton Head Island resorts include free golf with your timeshare purchase. It does seem that most resorts in the timeshareindustry have a healthy respect for physical activity!

Here are some other ways that owning a timeshare helps to relieve stress and thus promote a healthy lifestyle:

  • Most timeshares offer an orientation or “welcome party,” where they promote area activities and events. Often vendors for certain entertainment venues and sporting activities will give out information and discounts to the guests  .Sometimes they will even give freebies! This reduces stress for you to have everything pre-planned. Also, sometimes they provide transportation, which means you don’t have to worry about it.
  • Meeting other guests at timeshare resorts is usually encouraged, and much easier than in a hotel setting. Tips for what to see, what restaurants to go to, etc. can easily be shared, which promotes a more relaxed, stress-free atmosphere.
  • The timeshare environment is much more like a home setting than a hotel. There are usually 2 or more TV’s, a full kitchen where meals can be prepared, a washer and dryer and anywhere from one to four bedrooms. Because there is room to spread out, and several home-like amenities, people feel more comfortable and relaxed in their surroundings.
  • A timeshare vacation is more restful, because usually people stay several nights or a week at a time. This reduces the feeling that you have to spend every moment out sightseeing or “doing something.” Instead, you can relax a bit and go at a slower pace.

Studies have actually shown a relationship between vacations and improved health. It’s a fact that timeshare owners generally plan ahead and are more committed to their vacations. So now, you can feel even better about that timeshare you own!
